  • Chris- I was refering to organic fertilizers that are manure. And I think if you were not trying to split hairs and find "holes" in my argument where there are none you would have realized that. I would compare systemic herbicides to alcohol. Alcohol acts systemically also.

  • Veggies- You are right, ORGANIC products do have a strict labeling process. However, In my comment above I see no reference to anything organic. Organic is not the same thing as "hormone free" or "free range" or "anitbiotic free".

  • We (American Farmers) need to be more prevelent in these discussions to make sure that the misinformed (have you read any of the garbage that StrengthInNumbers is spouting off?) are the minority.

  • My husband and I farm in NW OK. We have been watching our wheat crop (our main source of income) go backwards the last two weeks. As bad as it is here, it is much worse in SW OK and Texas.
